“Basic Instinct”: A review

Basic Instinct is the fourth studio album released by the artist Ciara. A Blues and Soul diva with extraordinary talents, this album was based entirely on her ability to trust her own ‘basic instincts’ and go back to a more bluesy type of music. Ciara has experienced great success as a “princess of Crunk” , and as a hip hop star. Her true love in music is blues, and she hopes to convey this to her fans with this new album.

In its’ debut on the US Billboard 200, Basic Instinct was 44th. In terms of the Hip Hop and R&B charts, it came in at 11th. Her sassy style and agile vocal abilities makes Ciara’s works well worth the listen. She has the unique ability to convey emotions so well that the listener feels like they are becoming a part of her world.

The stylingsof her new album are quite refreshing. Ciara once again proves her worth in the music field. Blues and Soul is a genre that well suits her, and she is able to belt out the tunes better than most other modern artists. The album was released in December 2010, with an initial sales level of 3.7 million. It is rapidly growing in popularity, and for good reason.
