The typical crunk song features a heavy bassline, drum machine rhythm and shouting vocals. Get Low, Goodies, Freak A Leek and Yeah are some of the most well-known crunk songs. Goodies and Yeah were two of the first songs to introduce a fusion of contemporary r&b and crunk music called Crunk&B. Chris Brown’s debut hit Run It was another very popular Crunk&B song.

In 2007, snap music, which is a subgenre of crunk, developed. Crank That, which was Soulja boy’s debut single, was released in the summer of 2007. Ever since 2008, various other subgenres of crunk music have been developed including trance crunk, crunkcore and acid krunk.

Ciara first served as an opening act for singer Gwen Stefani’s “Harajuku Lovers” tour in 2005. After that, she went on to be included as a feature act in the Holiday Jam Tour in December of 2005. Both of these tours were in promotion of her debut album.

In December of 2006, Ciara released her second album, titled “Ciara: The Evolution”. The “Evolution Tour” began in October 2006, to support the upcoming release of this album. She then appeared at Screamfest ’07 in August 2007. She was joined on this tour by rapper T.I..

Ciara released her third album, “Fantasy Ride”, in May 2009. The “Jay-Z & Ciara Live” tour was soon launched in July 2009, headlined by Ciara and her fellow rapper Jay-Z. This was one of her first international tours.

Her last tour was called “Summerbeatz” and took place in Australia in November 2010. Her fourth album was soon released, called “Basic Instinct”, in December 2010. This was her least successful album to date.

In 2008, Ciara was the face of music mogul Jay-Z’s Rocawear clothing line but she can now add haute couture muse to her list of accomplishments.I was looking for more information and found it here. In the spring of 2010, Riccardo Tisci creative director for iconic fashion house Givenchy named Ciara as his muse. She was featured in many Givenchy ad campaigns wearing couture frocks and looking fabulous. This was definitely a huge accomplishment for the star because it shows that she has an edgy-fashion appeal that goes beyond the urban/pop sphere. She has subsequently appeared on the editorial pages of French and German Vogue as well. Ciara has also been that face for major multimedia ad campaign for Verizon’s smartphone the LG Chocolate Touch. She was also featured in a recent Maxim magazine spread in which the singer was wearing tasteful bikinis that highlight her toned dancer physique.

Ciara moved to Atlanta, GA, and was introduced to Jazze Pha, a music producer and her musical soul mate. He helped her to sign with LaFace Records and she has sold over seven million albums throughout the world. From 2002 to 2003, Ciara formed a group called Hearsay with two of her friends. Unfortunately, the group had disagreements and broke up before they had a chance to become successful.

Ciara was determined to have a song published, however, and was able to achieve this dream when Fantasia Barrino recorded a song Ciara had written called “Got Me Waiting.” Ciara began recording her own music with Jazze Pha in 2002; her song “Lookin’ at You” was one of her first recordings and became a hit single.

• Carrie Underwood: Underwood was one of many of Ciara’s collaborators on the 2008 charity song Just Stand Up!. Other performers included Beyonce, Sheryl Crow, Miley Cyrus, and many more.
• Bow Wow: Ciara dated rapper and actor Bow Wow from 2005-2006, during which time they recorded the single “Like You” for Bow Wow’s album Wanted. Bow Wow later recorded a song about their break-up, “Outta My System”, with T-Pain and Johnta Austin.
• Usher: Rapper/producer Lil Jon first picked up Ciara’s demo of “Goodies” because of its similarity to Usher’s smash-hit “Yeah!” Ciara later appeared in the music video for Usher’s 2010 single “Lil Freak” featuring Nicki Minaj. She will also sing on his track “Hot Toddy”, featuring Jay-Z.
• T.I.: Ciara headlined the Screamfest ’07 tour with T.I., also featuring performances by 50 Cent, Tiffany Evans, Lloyd, and more. Ciara featured on Tiffany’s first single, “Promise Ring.” Ironically, Tiffany’s second single, “I’m Grown”, featured Bow Wow.
• Gwen Stefani: Ciara was an opening act for Gwen’s first solo concert tour. Other opening acts at various dates were the Black Eyed Peas, M.I.A., and Ladytron.
• Fantasia Barrino: Ciara wrote the song “Free Yourself” for Fantasia’s 2004 debut even before her own was released. Another of Fantasia’s songs, “Don’t Act Right”, featured rapper/producer Jazze Pha, who would produce Ciara’s early demos and first album.
