She hit the music scene in 2004 with her debut album, “Goodies”, which included the number one hits “Goodies”, and “1,2 Step”. Since then, she has released several other albums, and embarked on many U.S. and worldwide tours.

Ciara first served as an opening act for singer Gwen Stefani’s “Harajuku Lovers” tour in 2005. After that, she went on to be included as a feature act in the Holiday Jam Tour in December of 2005. Both of these tours were in promotion of her debut album.

In December of 2006, Ciara released her second album, titled “Ciara: The Evolution”. The “Evolution Tour” began in October 2006, to support the upcoming release of this album. She then appeared at Screamfest ’07 in August 2007. She was joined on this tour by rapper T.I..

Ciara released her third album, “Fantasy Ride”, in May 2009. The “Jay-Z & Ciara Live” tour was soon launched in July 2009, headlined by Ciara and her fellow rapper Jay-Z. This was one of her first international tours.

Her last tour was called “Summerbeatz” and took place in Australia in November 2010. Her fourth album was soon released, called “Basic Instinct”, in December 2010. This was her least successful album to date.

Ciara Princess Harris, also known simply as Ciar,a is a chart-topping singer, dancer, choreagrapher, and actress. However, most of her fans do not know that this beautiful, statuesque, and multi-talented artist is also a fashion model. In 2009, Ciara signed on with world-renowned modeling agency, Wilhemina Models. It was a multi-million dollar deal that has broadened her appeal to an international fashion market.

In 2008, Ciara was the face of music mogul Jay-Z’s Rocawear clothing line but she can now add haute couture muse to her list of accomplishments.I was looking for more information and found it here. In the spring of 2010, Riccardo Tisci creative director for iconic fashion house Givenchy named Ciara as his muse. She was featured in many Givenchy ad campaigns wearing couture frocks and looking fabulous. This was definitely a huge accomplishment for the star because it shows that she has an edgy-fashion appeal that goes beyond the urban/pop sphere. She has subsequently appeared on the editorial pages of French and German Vogue as well. Ciara has also been that face for major multimedia ad campaign for Verizon’s smartphone the LG Chocolate Touch. She was also featured in a recent Maxim magazine spread in which the singer was wearing tasteful bikinis that highlight her toned dancer physique.

Almost anyone who’s been watching entertainment channels (like those available with satellite TV service from www.direct.tv) should recognize the name Ciara, most likely from one of her exciting music videos. Recording artist Ciara should be considered a quadruple threat in the entertainment world. In addition to singing, the performer dances, acts and models. She was born in Austin, TX, and moved all over the world as a child.

Ciara moved to Atlanta, GA, and was introduced to Jazze Pha, a music producer and her musical soul mate. He helped her to sign with LaFace Records and she has sold over seven million albums throughout the world. From 2002 to 2003, Ciara formed a group called Hearsay with two of her friends. Unfortunately, the group had disagreements and broke up before they had a chance to become successful.

Ciara was determined to have a song published, however, and was able to achieve this dream when Fantasia Barrino recorded a song Ciara had written called “Got Me Waiting.” Ciara began recording her own music with Jazze Pha in 2002; her song “Lookin’ at You” was one of her first recordings and became a hit single.

To date Ciara has released four albums and is well on her way to super stardom. Ciara’s new music video is shown on several music channels available from your local satellite TV provider. Fans can also find more information at her official website.

Welcome back, Ciara true believers. We have some more information regarding the artist’s new album Basic Instinct, which has unfortunately been pushed back again. However, we hear that November 29 is now the definite release date for the album. We also have a listing of song titles confirmed for the record:

“Flaws”

“Gimme Dat”

“Girls Get Your Money”

“Ride” (featuring Ludacris)

“Speechless”

“Turn It Up (Heavy Rotation)”

“What He Wants for Dinner”

“You Can Get It”

“Basic Instinct (U Got Me)”

Some of these we already knew, but the new song titles offer a new glimpse into what we can expect from the album. “Girls Get Your Money” and “You Can Get It” sound like they’ll be upbeat club anthems, while “What He Wants For Dinner” has got us eager for some of Ciara’s trademark humor. If you haven’t checked it out, Ciara dropped a new mixtape on September 11Ride It. Check it out for a bunch of exclusive tracks, including remixes to “Ride” and Waka Flocka Flame’s “Hard In Da Paint.”

Over the course of her eight-year career, Ciara has worked with more than her fair share of artists, producers, and collaborators in a variety of ways. The following relates the many surprising faces in Ciara’s life, and how each one has gotten her to where she is now.

Carrie Underwood: Underwood was one of many of Ciara’s collaborators on the 2008 charity song Just Stand Up!. Other performers included Beyonce, Sheryl Crow, Miley Cyrus, and many more.

Bow Wow: Ciara dated rapper and actor Bow Wow from 2005-2006, during which time they recorded the single “Like You” for Bow Wow’s album Wanted. Bow Wow later recorded a song about their break-up, “Outta My System”, with T-Pain and Johnta Austin.

Usher: Rapper/producer Lil Jon first picked up Ciara’s demo of “Goodies” because of its similarity to Usher’s smash-hit “Yeah!” Ciara later appeared in the music video for Usher’s 2010 single “Lil Freak” featuring Nicki Minaj. She will also sing on his track “Hot Toddy”, featuring Jay-Z.

T.I.: Ciara headlined the Screamfest ’07 tour with T.I., also featuring performances by 50 Cent, Tiffany Evans, Lloyd, and more. Ciara featured on Tiffany’s first single, “Promise Ring.” Ironically, Tiffany’s second single, “I’m Grown”, featured Bow Wow.

Gwen Stefani: Ciara was an opening act for Gwen’s first solo concert tour. Other opening acts at various dates were the Black Eyed Peas, M.I.A., and Ladytron.

Fantasia Barrino: Ciara wrote the song “Free Yourself” for Fantasia’s 2004 debut even before her own was released. Another of Fantasia’s songs, “Don’t Act Right”, featured rapper/producer Jazze Pha, who would produce Ciara’s early demos and first album.

Ciara is well known for her musical ambition and variety, but only true fans know of her forays into acting. In 2006, she appeared in the MTV television film All You’ve Got as Becca Watley. The movie chronicled the rivalry between two high school volleyball teams determined to make it to the top, making it easy for Ciara to bring her personality into the film. But Ciara’s got another film that’s been stuck in limbo for the past year with no word as to why. That movie is Mama, I Want to Sing!, based on the gospel stage musical that has been running off-Broadway. Ciara plays main character Amara Winter, the daughter of a famous gospel singer, who wants to create her own success in the secular musical world. The movie also features dramatic performances by other music stars, including Patti LaBelle and Marvin Winans. Notable actors Billy Zane (Titanic) and Hill Harper (CSI: NY) also have prominent roles. So with all this star power, why haven’t we gotten a chance to see it yet?The movie was finished in June 2009 and the official trailer was released in September. Though it was on the schedule for the 2009 Urbanworld Film Festival (an indie festival located in New York) but was cancelled due to technical difficulties. Since then, 9 months have gone by without more information. Fans are hankering for its release on sites like IMDB’s message boards. Maybe the release of Ciara’s album Basic Instinct in August will spur the filmmakers to get the movie out. Until then, we can only dream of Ciara’s performanceand of course, enjoy the roles she plays every time she gets out on the stage.

Ciara was born in Austin, Texas in 1985, and hasn’t stopped moving since. With her father in the army, she never stayed in one place for long, putting in time in Germany, New York, California, Arizona, and Nevada. It was in Atlanta that Ciara caught hit girl-group Destiny’s Child performing on TV during a day home from school. This lucky incident caused her to dedicate her life to music and performing.Ciara’s first musical output was as part of a similar girl-group called Hearsay, but like Destiny’s Child, they eventually disbanded due to individual conflicts. Ciara’s first hit song was one she wrote for Fantasia Barrino, which appeared in 2004–the same year as Ciara’s own debut album, Goodies.Everybody remembers Goodies for its two big hits, the title track and the electro-inspired “1, 2 Step”. “Goodies” stayed at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 for 7 weeks, a record tied only by Katy Perry’s “I Kissed a Girl” in 2008. However, the album as a whole was also well-received, with Entertainment Weekly comparing it to a progression on the late Aaliyah’s sound. Ciara also became notable for her early tomboy styleshe usually appeared in baggy jeans with strawberry-blond hair, making her easy to recognize.Since then, Ciara has released two more albums (with one upcoming) in a constantly evolving style. She has also appeared on a number of collaborative tracks, the latest of which are “Ride” featuring Ludacris for her 2010 album Basic Instinct as well as the track “Hot Toddy” on Usher’s album Versus. Her fashion style has caught on, too: she signed a contract with Wilhelmina Models in 2009 and has appeared in the German and French editions of Vogue. Ciara’s star shows no sign of fading anytime soon, especially if she continues to bring her own distinctive flair to everything she does.

<p style"text-align: left;">The name is inspired by the 1992 neo-noir film starring Sharon Stone as an ice-pick wielding killer. That should be enough to tell you that Ciara’s new album is going to sound dangerousand very sexy. This blend is what has gotten the video for the first single, “Ride”, banned from BET and UK music channels due to its content. Reviewers have commented on the song’s sleek feel, with its slow-tempo and heavy bass that is sure to make it a summer hit.

Despite that, the album’s cover is relatively mysterious, simply showing one of Ciara’s steely eyes, the other being covered by her flowing hair. That same attitude comes out on the second single, “Gimme That”, which will be released July 27. Far from slow, this song is full of energy and fast beats, with Ciara screaming over it all.Ciara is helping to produce the album herself, with assistance from The-Dream, Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins, and Tricky Stewart. Tricky has said this album has more substance than earlier records, but with the same upbeat tempo. The only collaborations on the album known so far are “Ride” (featuring Ludacris) and the upcoming song “Speechless” (featuring The-Dream). Other info is being locked up tight to prevent leaks in the manner of earlier album Fantasy Ride.Basic Instinct could also refer to Ciara’s natural ability to bust out hits that make everyone get on the floor. Tricky says that Ciara’s sound on this album hearkens back to the days of “Goodies” and “1, 2 Step”, eschewing the more electro and house sounds of Fantasy Ride. Our guess is that fans should eat this one up. Check Basic Instinct out when it drops in October, and check back here for our review. From what we’ve heard so far, it should be a killer.

If you can’t wait for Ciara’s new album Basic Instinct to drop, and you’ve already spun out all her other ones, we’ve got the list for you. These artists all rock just like Ciara, while bringing their own unique feel to the music.

Keri Hilson: Hilson’s actually written hits for Ciara, along with Britney Spears, Usher, and Ludacris. It’s no surprise that her 2009 debut In a Perfect World has the same infectious energy, backed up by futuristic electro beats. The single for her new album, featuring Lil Kim, is due in August.

Kelly Rowland: Rowland’s group Destiny’s Child was a major inspiration for Ciara. While Kelly hasn’t hit the same solo popularity as Beyonce, her two albums, Simply Deep and Ms. Kelly, offer something out of the ordinary. Simply Deep is a more pop-rock-oriented record, while Ms. Kelly sounds more urban and personal. Her 3rd self-titled album will feature a dance flavor and is set to be released this fall.

Teairra Mari: This young star has already experienced the dark side of the music industry, being dropped from her music label before her graduation after lackluster sales of her debut. However, that album, Roc-a-Fella Presents: Teairra Mari, features the hit “Make Her Feel Good” and another winner, “No Daddy”. There’s a lot to like on the rest of the album, too, so it’s a good thing Mari’s bounced back and is releasing her second album, At That Point, soon on the Fo’Reel Entertainment label.

Electrik Red: Following in the same R&B girl-group sound that first inspired Ciara, this group is also produced by Ciara’s collaborator, The-Dream. Their 2009 album How to Be a Lady: Volume 1, has gotten high reviews for its blend of electro and R&B. Check it out while waiting for the second volume to be released later this year.
